EDI Scenarios Animation

A short animated piece I created that was commissioned by an Ultimate Frisbee league. The goal of the project was to create three short animated scenarios showcasing different types of discrimination league coaches may witness and how to prevent said discrimination among their players. The portion showcased is a cut down version of just the animated shorts that I story boarded and animated.

Animations were done entirely in blender using grease pencil drawings for character designs and combining those with 2d rigs for movement and articulation.

CHM : A Company Welcome

Senior year Capstone short film for college. I was given complete creative freedom to create any type of animated short film, so I chose to create a parody of employee on-boarding programs and videos for the fictional CHM company. The company specializes in holidays and is run by holiday mascots, which was an excuse to create multiple varying and unique character designs.

Animation was completed entirely in Adobe Animate, with Photoshop and Premiere Pro also being used for per-production and post production. Everything was hand-drawn and animated frame by frame.

Helter Skelter

A short motion graphics piece created for college. The goal was to create an animated music video that appeared as one seamless shot. I came up with the idea for a scrolling apartment building with varying characters and decorations on the outside that I could sync up to the music.

This piece was created with a combination of Adobe Animate, Photoshop, and After Effects. Assets were drawn and textured in Photoshop, all characters/moving pieces were animated in Adobe Animate, then everything was composited in After Effects, where I also used the 3D camera system to create the scrolling effect.

The Drop

My first full animated short created for college. This was a final project for an animation mechanics class where the goal was to incorporate multiple techniques learned throughout the class, including follow through, squash and stretch, drag objects, and a final explosion effect.

Everything was hand-drawn and animated in a program called TV Paint.
